What is the Brave Fitness
Evaluation about?
The
Brave Fitness Evaluation or assessment is the foundation for a client's
personal training program. Each program is designed specifically to
meet YOUR needs. The first session will be spent discussing
"why" training is desired. Below the surface level of "just
to lose weight" or "to look better", always lies the
true motivation of why we seek to better our physical appearance. It
is only when those true reasons are illuminated, can the real work begin.
With those factors determined, the trainer will then take you through
a physical fitness test determining starting body fat percentage, circumference
measurements, body weight, weak muscles, cardiovascular conditioning
and your postural alignment. Do not fear! These are only starting point
indicators. The first achievement is starting the program, the second
is sticking to it. Numbers are numbers and do not always define results!!
Evaluations are conducted one week prior to the commencement of your
program and consist of the following:
• Initial Interview
_____o Introduction to Brave Fitness and
answers to any questions client may have
_____o Discussion of client’s goals
_____o Determination of client trainer
compatibility
_____o Completion of client trainer agreements
• Pre-Exercise Screening
_____o Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire
(PAR-Q)
_____o Health History Questionnaire
• Fitness Assessment – Resting Values
_____o Resting Heart Rate
_____o BMI
_____o Body Composition: Body Fat; Circumference
Measurement; Waist/Hip Ratio
• Fitness Assessment – Functional Tests (optional)
_____o Cardiovascular Fitness (VO2 Test):

_____o Muscular Endurance: Pushup/Sit up

_____o Flexibility Test: Sit and Reach
The information obtained from testing is meant to serve as baseline
data in order to track progress. These numbers and all other information
are strictly confidential.
